DOVER, Del. -- A heavy afternoon thunderstorm drenched the concrete racing surface at Dover International Speedway and forced postponement of Friday's scheduled AAA Insurance 200 Camping World Truck Series race until 6 p.m. ET Saturday.
Series points leader Ron Hornaday won the pole for the race in a qualifying session completed earlier in the day. Hornaday posted a lap at 155.541 mph to hold off a strong effort from Colin Braun (155.005 mph), who will start on the outside of the front row.
Brian Scott qualified third, followed by Johnny Sauter and Chad McCumbee. The race is the seventh in the series this year. Hornaday has finished in the top seven in all six previous races this season and won in his last outing, May 15 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
SPEED, which had planned to televise Friday's race on taped delay, now will carry the event live, starting with a pre-race broadcast at 5:30 p.m. ET.
