Jimmie Johnson is teaming up with Randy Moss in the Truck Series.

Johnson will make his debut in the series on Aug. 20 at Bristol Motor Speedway driving Moss Motorsports' No. 81 Chevrolet.

"I have never run a Truck race, so it should be fun," Johnson said. "Heck, my brother Jarit has run more than me, but it's going to be a good time. I'm excited to run Randy's truck. Hopefully we can get them a good finish."

Moss, who plays football for the New England Patriots, purchased 50 percent of Morgan-Dollar Motorsports and renamed the team Moss Motorsports just in time for the race at Kentucky Speedway. The team also switched from No. 46 to No. 81, Moss' uniform number.

Willie Allen drove the truck at Kentucky and finished 15th, while Landon Cassill collected a 14th-place finish last week at O'Reilly Raceway Park.

Johnson is also adding a Nationwide Series race to his schedule. He will drive the No. 48 JR Motorsports Chevrolet at Watkins Glen International on Aug. 9.

"Watkins Glen and Bristol are two tracks where I really want a win," Johnson said. "I enjoy racing at Watkins Glen and for some reason always seem to be a little better there than Sonoma. We've had some top-fives, so hopefully this will put us in the win column."
