HAMPTON, Ga. -- The inaugural Reed Sorenson Charity Classic benefiting the Atlanta Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will be held at White Water Creek Country Club in Fayetteville, Ga., on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

During the official kick-off to Race Week at Atlanta Motor Speedway, golfers can expect to play with celebrities from the sports world including Nextel Cup Series driver Reed Sorenson and friends, local radio personalities and Atlanta sports celebrities.

Arnold Palmer's signature course design at Whitewater Creek is considered one of the finest layouts in the region. The 18-hole championship course is nestled among rolling foothills and majestic waterways that diligently guard fairways lined by giant oak trees and greens surrounded by creative sand bunker configurations.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. ET and players will receive a box lunch prior to the shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. ET. The tournament format is best ball with 32 foursomes participating. There will be awards for the top-three finishers as well as a consolation prize for the last-place team. The awards will be presented during a reception following the round.

The entry fee for the Oct. 24 tournament is $250 per player, or $800 per foursome, and includes greens fees, use of a golf cart, lunch and the awards ceremony. Tournament and hole sponsorships are also available at various levels. To register for the tournament or to sponsor a hole, contact Roberta Rotondo via e-mail at rrotondo@lowesmotorspeedway.com.
