INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the most legendary motorsports venue in the United States, has held NASCAR Nextel Cup races since 1994 on its flat, four-cornered rectangular oval. Due to the track's history and its high annual payout, Sunday's Brickyard 400 has become a "must win" event for the entire Cup circuit. Defending race winner Kevin Harvick is in prime position to defend his 2003 Brickyard 400 title -- as he's also fighting to remain in the top-10 in the Nextel Cup standings -- and establish Indy's latest statistical mark. | | Nextel Cup Series | |
